Hindrances To Supernatural Overflow

Introduction: What are Hindrances? Hindrances to supernatural overflow are spiritual and internal blockages, like a hardened heart, unconfessed sins or active unbelief, that dam up the flow of God’s power and abundance in a person’s life, rather than a lack of supply from God.
Types of things
that act as Hindrances to our supernatural overflow
- Doubt and lack of Faith: Questioning God’s ability or willingness to move limits the atmosphere of faith, much like the restricted miracles in Jesus’ hometown and also praying with doubt and double-mindedness rather than believing God exists and rewards seekers.
- Hardened or Unforgiving Heart: Holding onto bitterness, anger, or past hurts creates a dam that stops the living water of the Spirit from moving freely.
- Unconfessed sins and Disobedience: Acting against God’s known commands or failing to follow spiritual principles
- Worldly Distractions: Placing the temporary cares, riches, and worries of the world above spiritual intimacy chokes out the growth of God’s power.
- Prayerlessness and Neglect of the Word: Failing to maintain regular communion and intake of Scripture starves the spirit, draining spiritual fire and alertness.
- Wrong Motives and Pride: Seeking God’s power for selfish gain, applause, or personal ego rather than his glory restricts heavenly backing.
- Unforgiveness: Holding bitterness, anger, or a lack of forgiveness toward others stops prayers from being heard.
- Marital Strife: Treating a spouse with disrespect or failing to live in an understanding way hinders prayers.
- Wrong connections: Relying on broken, secular or ungodly sources instead of God as the ultimate fountain.
Note: Let’s all look at these from a personal,
ministerial, or Scriptural perspective. Which specific area do you want us to
explore?
Conclusion: Let us all retrace our footsteps back by mending our ways where we fall short of the above factors.
