THEME: NEW HEIGHTS
LEVITICUS 26:13, PHILIPIANS 3:13-14
JANUARY 1ST – 31ST, 2018
Beloved people of God, we indeed have reasons to thank our God, the Lord
Almighty for the testimonies of Increased Greatness that trailed our path in
the out-gone year (2017). It is my prayer that God who uphold all things by the
word of His power (Hebrews 1:3) will sustain our testimonies in Jesus name.
There is no doubt that our God answers prayers. He had said, “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and
show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3.
The understanding and the assurance that God answers prayers should encourage and propel us to
always seek God through prayer.
As we go along in this New Year (2018) I have very strong belief and
faith that God Almighty who doeth wondrous things will touch our individual,
family, church and national lives in profound ways in Jesus name. God wants to
take us to greater and higher pedestals in our relationship with Him and in
many other areas of life and we must position ourselves appropriately so that
we can be beneficiaries of that which He has in stock for us in the different
spheres.
By the eyes of faith (Hebrews 11:1) I see harvest of salvation, healing,
deliverance, promotion, church growth, empowerment, successes and other
breakthroughs this year. One key element to access these blessings is PRAYER –
unceasing, unwavering, consistent and committed prayer. Prayer is the
priceless, potent, precious, powerful and proven privilege God has given us as
His heirs and joint-heirs with Christ. As wise children of God, we must
maximize the opportunity to fullest advantage.
What are your goals and expectations in 2018? What are your fears,
worries and concerns? What areas do you seek definite divine intervention? Take
it to the Lord in prayer. Beloved brethren, it is time for us to sow the seed
of prayer so that we can reap in joy and abundant testimonies.
As we lay the foundation for the year, committing ourselves individually
and corporately to prayer and fasting this month (January 2018), God will
graciously and expeditiously visit us in Jesus name. Make sure you are not left
out in this journey of praying effectually and fervently – the prayer of the
righteous availeth much.
I thank God for our Prayer Team for preparing this Prayer Bulletin to
guide us. All our local churches, zones, districts, axes and regions are
expected to instructively, carefully, committedly and purposefully use this
prayer guide in the spirit of unity, love, obedience, cooperation and oneness.
Churches are also at liberty to incorporate their local input into this prayer
bulletin. I have great expectation that new and unprecedented heights will be
our portion, individually and collectively, resulting for this one-month prayer
exercise in Jesus name.
Welcome to AD 2018, our year of NEW HEIGHTS (Leviticus 26:13;
Philippians 3:13,14).

“Then I proclaimed a fast there,
at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek
of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance.
For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to
help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king,
saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his
power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him. So we fasted and
besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us.” Ezra 8:21-23
Dearly beloved, it has pleased the Almighty God to bring us into another
wonderful season of seeking His face in fasting and prayer as is customary for
us at the beginning of every year. I appreciate Him on our behalf for the
opportunity to partake in this refreshing, divinely ordained spiritual
exercise.
This year, we will be having a blend of prayer points from the Nigerian
Church and prayer points from the Global Foursquare Family which will run for
21 days. In other words, alongside our 30 days of prayer, we will be joining
other Foursquare Brethren across the world in 21 days of calling on the God
that answers prayers. The Global Prayer Points will feature from Saturday
January 6 - Friday January 26, 2018 in this Prayer Booklet.
I therefore ease this opportunity to charge us to take seriously this
season of prayers. Let us drop every weight that may likely hinder us and stay
committed to knocking the doors of heaven with our fervent prayers as we gather
in all our churches on daily basis for corporate prayers.
While we will be observing prayer vigils on every Friday in the month of
January 2018, the last 4 days of our Prayer and Fasting, i.e. January 28 - 31
has been tagged National Thanksgiving Days and will be dedicated to offering
prayer of thanksgiving to the Almighty God, Immortal, Invisible, Only Wise
Unchanging Changer and Lifter up of our heads unto New Heights. As we do this
in unison, our heavens will be open unto New Heights in Jesus name.
Dearly beloved, it is time to seek God’s face once again and I earnestly
trust that the God of All Sufficiency will grant us the strength, enablement,
encouragement, stamina and sound health to be fervent in the place of prayer.

DAY 2: WEDNESDAY JANUARY 3: PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
& PRAISES (Psalm 47:1-9)
1. Clap your
hands all ye people, shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
2. Thank God
for He has subdued wicked people under us and nations underour feet.
3.
Give thanks to God for choosing
our heritage for us and setting a table before us in the presence of our
enemies.
4.
Bless the name of the Lord for
our General Overseer (Rev. Felix Meduoye), Board Members, National Executive Council
Members, National Ministerial Council and all our Pastors for what God used
them to do last year.
5. Thank God
for the success of yesterday A.W.AK.E program in all our Churches.
DAY 3: THURSDAY JANUARY 4: PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
CONTINUES (Psalm 40:1-3)

Let us praise and thank God for
His mercies over Nigeria – His peace in our land in spite of pockets of
violence here and there.

Praise and thank God for the president, governors,
ministers, etc

Let us thank God for the fight against corruption
and the success recorded so far.

Let us thank God because of His ability to see us
through all our struggles as a nation

Pray that as we continue
A.W.A.K.E program today, that Holy Spirit willconvict and convert numerous
souls to God's glory.

DAY 4: FRIDAY JANUARY 5: TODAY IS HOLY SPIRIT
REFRESHING VIGIL NATIONWIDE – PROPHETIC IMPARTATION (Psalm 71:21)

Blessed be the name of the Lord
for the prophecy of NEW HEIGHTS for us this year 2018.
2.
Thank God for INCREASED GREATNESS recorded in year
2017.

Give thanks to God for souls
saved and the wonders recorded during past Holy Spirit Refreshing Vigils.

Pray for unusual move of God with
signs and wonders in all the Regions as we gather tonight under the Theme:

and move in our nation Nigeria despite all the works of the devil.

Oh Lord, destroy the power of corruption in Nigeria
in Jesus name.

Oh Lord, arise and let the enemies of the progress
of Nigeria scatter in Jesus name.

Oh Lord, let violence,
insurgencies, armed robberies, kidnappings, ritual killings, etc cease in
Nigeria in Jesus name.
5.
Oh Lord, Nigeria shall fulfill
her prophetic destiny of carrying the gospel to other nations of the world in
Jesus name.

Pray for
faithful people who can teach others.

a generation that is influential and inspirational.

Pray that in times of temptation and trial we choose to be faithful to
the One who called us.

Let us thank God for building His
church and the gates hell cannot prevail against it – Matt. 16:18.

Oh Lord, thank You for the move of Your power in
all our churches.

Oh Lord, let all our churches this year attain NEW
HEIGHTS in Jesus name.

HEIGHTS possess all our churches this year in Jesus name.

Father, give us more committed
labourers (Groaners, Goers and Givers) in all our churches this year in Jesus

pray for gentle hearts in our dealings and in our churches.

Pray for balance in your life between gentleness and courage. Pray for a
gentle spirit when we are challenged or attacked.

Pray for God’s power to rest upon
every family to run the heavenly race in purity and with patience.

Let us thank God for all our
National leaders for God’s faithfulness over their lives and families.
2.
Oh Lord, increase your grace and
anointing in the life of our General Overseer and other leaders. Fill them
afresh with the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus
Christ.
3.
Father, help all our leaders at
all levels (National, Regional, Axis, Districts, Zonal and local Churches) to
work together faithfully and in unity of purpose in Jesus name.
4.
Oh Lord, grant our General
Overseer and all leaders the needed strength to pursue with all vigour the
Decade of Multiplication vision.

a fresh outpouring and baptism in God’s Spirit for all disciples.

be signs and wonders.

Oh Lord, let the manifestation of
your awesome Presence rest upon all our programmes this year in Jesus name.

word of wisdom that liberates and empowers the soul.

DAY 13: SUNDAY JANUARY 14: NATIONAL CHRISTIAN
EDUCATION MINISTRY (2 Tim 2:15, Jos. 1:8)

Let us thank God for the National
Christian Education Ministry and the impact of this ministry in Foursquare
Gospel Church in Nigeria and the Body of Christ.
2.
Pray for the Director of
Christian Education Ministry that God should grant her sound health, wisdom,
strength and power.
3.
Pray for more strength for all
the labourers and that God should thrust out more committed hands to join the
Department.
4.
Pray for more financial resources for the
Department.

Jesus, help me to know one thing and one thing only: Jesus Christ and
Him crucified, our risen, regnant and returning Lord.

Dear God, You have promised to increase our faith. So today I ask for an
increase in crops, especially the fruit of the Spirit called knowledge. Give me
the desire to receive this fruit with humility, not to lord it over others, but
to point others to the Lord and giver of life.

Lord, may my highest ambition in life be not only to pray the Lord’s
Prayer with meaning and mission, but also to become a Lord’s Prayer, so that
everything I do is a prayer-offering to You.

WOMEN INTERNATIONAL - FWI (Prov. 31:10-17, 1 Pet. 3:1-6)

Oh Lord, we thank You for
Foursquare Women International for your mercies, protection and the success of
last year 2017 June Rally.
2.
Pray that God will make them virtuous whose price
is far above rubies.
3.
Pray that God will put laughter
in the mouth of all our expectant mothers this year in Jesus name.
4.
Oh Lord, do not let any of our
women suffer any loss in this year of NEW HEIGHTS in Jesus name.

Ask God in what areas of your life He could be asking for you to take a
big step out in faith.

Pray for the wisdom to discern what leaps of faith are human impulses
versus divine suggestions, and for the courage to fulfill them.

Ask God to diminish the noise of fear, criticism and anxiety that might
be preventing you from hearing Him.
DAY 15: TUESDAY JANUARY 16: PRAYER FOR COUNCIL OF
FOURSQUARE MEN - CFM (1 Pet. 3:7-9; 2 Tim. 2:1-5)

Let us thank God for the lives of
Council of Foursquare Men – for God’s mercies, protection and provision. Thank
God for the success of 2017 CFM Convention.

Oh Lord, make all our men strong, godly and
faithful.

Pray that God will prosper the
work of our men so that they will continue to be pillars for the work of God
and be able to provide for their homes.
4.
Pray that this year’s CFM
Convention will witness NEW HEIGHTS of God’s signs and wonders.

Pray for
healing of the body, soul, strength and mind of Foursquare ministers worldwide.
•
Pray for a renewal of faith in the hearts of the people in our churches
to contend for the promise of physical healing for those in need.

Pray that
The Foursquare Church would be a source of healing to the body of Christ.

Pray that our Foursquare family would faithfully bring the message of
Christ as a healing balm to all nations and peoples the world over.
DAY 16: WEDNESDAY JANUARY 17: PRAYER FOR OUR YOUTH (Eccl.
12:1; Psa.
119:9)

Give thanks to God for His loving
kindness, guidance, protection and provision for all our Youths in Foursquare.
Thank God for the success of last year’s Youth Camping.
2.
Pray that God will revive all our Youths to be
stronger and stronger in the faith.
3.
Pray that God will grant all our
Youth the grace to attain NEW HEIGHTS and all-round breakthrough in their
endeavours this year.
4.
Let God destroy the power of youthful lusts in
their lives in Jesus name.

Pray for
a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit to come on your life personally.
•
Pray and
ask for more of the gifts of the Holy Spirit to begin flowing through you.
•
Pray for a greater boldness to be His “witnesses,” that more would come
to Jesus in 2018.
•
Pray for opportunities for the miraculous to show up as you bring the
message of Jesus to the lost whom you encounter in everyday life.
DAY 17: THURSDAY JANUARY 18:
PRAYER FOR TEENS & NATIONAL ASSOCIATIONS OF FOURSQUARE STUDENTS - NaFFS (James 1:5, Psalm 127:1; Prov.
22:1,4 & 1:1:7-9)
1.
Let us thank God for His
faithfulness in the lives of our teenagers. Appreciate God for granting them
favour and admission to various schools/universities last year.
2.
Oh Lord, separate all our
Teenagers from the spirit of ungodliness. Plant in them the spirit of the fear
of the Lord and righteousness.
3.
Oh Lord, we frustrate every plan
of the devil to derail the destinies of our Teenagers in Jesus name.
4.
Thank God for His goodness and
mercies over all our students in higher institutions and the leadership of
NAFFs.
5.
Pray for divine knowledge and
wisdom for them. Pray that they will be outstanding like Daniel in all they do.
GLOBAL FOURSQUARE PRAYER POINTS
•
Invite the Lord to impact our hearts toward the pursuit of love, both in
our worship and relationship with Him and with His people—those who know Him
and those who have yet to come into His embrace.
•
Seek forgiveness for those times we the church have sought spiritual
gifts for our own sake, in pursuit of our own sense of importance.
•
Ask for boldness to become messengers of hope through the gift of the
prophetic by the power of the Holy Spirit, and invite Him to increase our
awareness of His voice and our call to divine appointments.
•
Plead for His presence and our awareness of His presence every moment of
every day, so that we become vibrant kingdom agents in answer to Jesus’ prayer,
“Thy kingdom come.”
DAY 18: FRIDAY JANUARY 19: PRAYER
FOR NATIONAL CHILDREN MINISTRY (2 Tim.
2:14-16)

Pray for All Round Abundance
Provisions of God upon the Children Ministry and the Children Ministers.
3.
Pray for God’s impartation and
transformation of lives in all the programmes of the Children Ministry
4.
Pray for befitting places of worship for our
children in all our local churches.
5.
O Lord, endow all our children
with your excellent Spirit for excellent performances and also that our
children be addicted to Jesus.
6.
Oh Lord, our children are for
signs and wonders. They shall continue to experience NEW HEIGHTS in Jesus name.
GLOBAL FOURSQUARE PRAYER POINTS
•
Pray for God’s people to have a sincere hunger for the move of the Holy
Spirit in our churches today.
•
Pray for safe environments where spiritual gifts can be utilized in
learning and growing situations.
•
Pray for God’s people to have the ability to discern the difference
between the authentic and the counterfeit in the spirit world.
•
Pray for resulting maturity, growth and effectiveness in spiritual
ministry for God’s people as they seek to be used by God.
DAY 19: SATURDAY JANUARY 20: PRAYER FOR McPHERSON
UNIVERSITY (Prov. 2:1-9)
1.
Thank God for bringing the
University so far – they had their Second Convocation in November 2017.
2.
Thank God for His presence, power
and protection over the students and staff of the institution.
3.
Thank God for the Principal
Officers of the University and all who God has been using to bring and sustain
the vision of the University.
4.
Let us pray that God will grant
the University NEW HEIGHTS academically and in all ramifications in Jesus name.
5.
Ask God to supply both the
financial and material needs of the University according to His riches in glory
by Christ Jesus.

Holy
Spirit, I welcome You into my heart and mind. I need You.

Holy Spirit, move through me today with Your gifts to bring others into
relationship with You.

Holy Spirit, I invite You to move in my life and church the way You want

DAY 20: SUNDAY JANUARY 21: PRAYER FOR FOURSQUARE
PRAYER MINISTRY (Luke 18:1-8)

Thank God for His sustaining power and grace on the
National Prayer Warriors.
2.
Ask God to release fresh
anointing of the Holy Spirit upon all Prayer Warriors that will make prayer
easy for them.
3.
Thank God for the National Prayer
Co-ordinator and his family. Pray that the fire of the Holy Ghost will always
form an edge of protection around them.
4.
Pray that the Holy Spirit will
continue to teach, lead and encourage them to pray aright. All Prayer Warriors
to experience NEW HEIGHTS this year in Jesus name.

Pray that God would open our hearts to generously render “help” to those
in need of assistance, particularly those who have been impacted by recent
global disasters.

Pray for opportunities to be agents of transformation for someone in
need in your church and community.

Pray for breakthrough for those in desperate situations, that they would
call upon the name of the Lord for help and assistance. May His power and
provision meet their needs!

Pray that God would stir up in us the gifts that He has given us that
may have been dormant in our ministries.
