The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savour Jesus Christ. 
Titus 2, 11- 13

It is God’s grace that offers everyone salvation. But it is not something cheap. For one thing, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, had to go into death on the cross; for another, God’s grace does not leave anyone who avails himself of it simply to continue living in sin and self-will. On the contrary, God’s grace teaches the Christian how to lead his life happily and to the honour of God in a threefold manner:
Even a true believer still has the sinful nature in him. But grace helps him to deny “ungodliness and worldly lusts”. These belong to his past, otherwise he would be abusing the grace of God (cf. Jude v.4)
On the positive side, grace enables the Christian to lead his life “soberly, righteously and godly”. Regarding himself he should be sober-minded, exercising self-control. Regarding others, he learns to act righteously, and regarding God, grace shows how he can live according to God’s will.
Grace directs the Christian’s eyes towards the future. He has been granted much, but he will only receive everything in its fulness when Jesus Christ returns. Christ is coming again: this hope of the believer is the mark of a Christian life.

  When I was young, I was riding in the car with my mom when suddenly it started raining heavily. I was listening to the radio and had the volume up pretty loud. My mom told me to turn the music down so she could see better. I replied: “Mom, you see with your eyes, not your ears.” However, when I grew older, I was able to understand what she meant. Although we see with our eyes, what we hear—or what we choose to listen to—affects how we see. In other words, our focus is affected by what we hear. Foursquare Fast and Pray GENERAL OVERSEER’S FOREWORD   And he (Jesus) said unto them, This kingdom can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. Mark 9:29 KJV   Prayer and fasting are some of the foundations for exploits (success) in life. There are certainly great things that can only happen through prayer and fasting, hence the emphasis of the scripture in calling people to pray - Jeremiah 33:3; Matthew 7:7,8.   Many people wish for success and various kinds of breakthroughs in life but are not ready to pay the price for it. What we see in the physical - manifestation is often the outcome of what has been settled in the spiritual realm. Prayer and fasting play  a  key part in this respect.   As we round off this year 2021 and look expectantly into the new year 2022, God has given us  an  open invitation to approach and access His presence - in the place of prayer.   Glory be to God A
